Hands Against Hunger

COVID-19 HAS PUSHED EVEN MORE PEOPLE INTO POVERTY AND OUT ONTO THE STREETS, WITH A WORSENING HOMELESSNESS CRISIS.

HANDS AGAINST HUNGER (12).png

Circle of Giving's "Hands against Hunger" program aims to

provide hot and nutritious home cooked  meals through organizations that serve those who are less fortunate in our community.

The first beneficiary of this program is the Gilroy Compassion Center (GCC) - an organization that is dedicated to providing critical services to the homeless in Gilroy.

We are committed to cook and serve one meal every month to the homeless

that are served by GCC.

The first meal for GCC was provided on July 14th '20 when our volunteers served lunch to more than 40 grateful recipients while maintaining social distance and taking appropriate precautions (masks, PPE, protective screens).

We continue to grow this program and partner with more organizations. We welcome more volunteers to help make a  difference  by either cooking a homemade dish or making a monetary donation.

TESTIMONIALS

“My heart is always touched by the generosity of others who come and feed our neighbors in need. I believe that when you feed the body you touch their soul and that they know others care about them and that they are not alone” - Gilroy Compassionate Center staff member
