HANDS AGAINST HUNGER
COVID-19 HAS PUSHED EVEN MORE PEOPLE INTO POVERTY AND OUT ONTO THE STREETS, WITH A WORSENING HOMELESSNESS CRISIS.
The first meal for GCC was provided on July 14th when our volunteers served lunch to more than 40 grateful recipients while maintaining social distance and taking appropriate precautions (masks, PPE, protective screens).
We need more volunteers to help make a difference in the lives of those who are suffering in our very own community by either cooking a homemade dish or making a monetary donation.
Circle of Giving's "Hands against Hunger" program aims to
provide hot and nutritious home cooked Indian meals through organizations that serve those who are less fortunate in our community.
The first beneficiary of this program is the Gilroy Compassion Center (GCC) - an organization that is dedicated to providing critical services to the homeless in Gilroy.
We are committed to cook and serve one meal every month to the homeless
that are served by GCC.
